Back to school in Gaza 2020 - 2021

Thousands of students in Gaza started their first day of school on Saturday 8/8/2020 after a 5-month vacation due to emergency precautions caused by coronavirus outbreak in March. The new school year started in UNRWA and the government schools, within specific preventive measures taken due to the massive spread of the virus in the Gaza Strip. The UNRWA issued instructions for starting the new school year in its schools. Authorities suspended schools in the Gaza Strip last March because of fears from the Coronavirus outbreak. It should be noted that there were about 75 infection cases, all of them are from abroad returnees, they were quarantined, and most of them recovered.
