Imposing Partial Lockdown in Response to the Increasing Number of COVID-19 Cases
The Gaza Strip is facing a much more difficult wave than the previous one; the number of daily infections continues to rise. As response, new measures have been taken to combat the rapid outbreak of the virus. The spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior, Eyad Al-Buzum in Gaza said, “It was decided to completely stop the movement of all vehicles starting on Wednesday, 9:00 pm until 6:00 am on next Sunday, in addition to suspending work in all government institutions, schools, universities and kindergartens. Al-Buzum also explained that the measures previously taken will be the same including closing wedding halls, preventing gatherings and continuing the night lockdown starting from 9:00 pm.
