YASMINE 13-year-old orphan girl from Rafah

Yasmine lives with her mother, two sisters, stepfather, stepsister, and stepbrother. They live in an owned apartment which consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Her mother is a housekeeper and her stepfather works irregularly in farming, but his income is too small to meet the family’s needs. The family’s apartment is poorly furnished and the walls are severely damp. Yasmine is in the 7th grade. She goes to school on foot although it is far from her home. Her favorite subject is Arabic, but she is struggling in most subjects. To improve her level, she attends tutorial lessons in all subjects at a cost of 10 £ a month. In the future, she hopes to be a teacher. Her sisters are school students, but her stepsiblings are under school age. Yasmine and all her family members are in good health and they do not suffer from any health problems. Al Majd Association for Development sponsors Yasmine and her family, along with tens of families in the Gaza strip, this will ensure for those families to have suitable and humanitarian life and will enable them to provide food, medication, and education.
