RAHAF 7 year-old-girl from Nusairat refugee camp, sponsored childe

Rahaf suffers from mental retarding since birth; she needs diapers with 70 GBP per month. She also suffers from hyperactivity, poor concentration, poor vision, severe sun sensitivity and needs medications with at least 80GBP per month; but her family can’t cover this cost all the time; so she didn’t go to the doctor and didn’t take her medicines in the last 3 months. Rahaf was registered at the “Ebad Al Rahman Kindergarten for Special Needs Persons” with 100 GBP per month. Her parents noticed some improvement; Rahaf learned how to eat after she needed to grind the food; and learned how to wear the shoes by herself. However, she stopped going because of the family’s bad economic conditions. The family lives through very bad economic conditions. They don’t have a fixed source of income because the father rarely finds a job; he works as a builder; he works for a few days every few months. So they depend on Rahaf’s sponsorship to cover their essential needs. Rahaf and her family live their own house. It is about 40m2 area; it consists of 1 room; a kitchen; and a bathroom. The worst thing in the house besides its small space is the tinplate ceiling. The tinplate ceiling is very hot in summer and very cold in winter. In the stormy nights; Rahaf and her family go to sleep at their grandparents’ house; because the wind may remove the ceiling; and it may fall on their heads. Al Majd Association for Development sponsors Rahaf and her family, along with tens of families in the Gaza strip, this will ensure for those families to have suitable and humanitarian life and will enable them to provide food, medication, and education.
